God Creates Woman

God creates the light and the dark and says
It’s good.

The sun, moon, stars, the whole universe and says
It’s good.

The atmosphere,
It’s good.

The land,
good.

God creates plants, trees, shrubs, fruit, vegetables and says,
It’s good.

Fish, whales, squid, sharks, all the creatures of the sea,
It’s good.

Mammals, reptiles, amphibians, marsupials, and says,
It’s good.

Then God creates a human being—a man—and says
It’s not good.

Even though Man alone is created in God’s own image.

Even though God breathed right into his nostrils the breath of life, God says of this penultimate creation

It is not good for him to be alone.

So, from the rib of the man God creates… a woman.
